The submission of this topic sought to highlight a plausible administrative solution amidst an array of challenges facing a vast majority of higher education institutions to date. Amongst the economic and social effects of Covid-19 came a turning point for higher education in South Africa as we know it. Public and private institutions were severely affected by the harsh lockdown restrictions introduced by the President which saw its students and staff’s ability to attend campus being extremely limited. As a result, institutions then needed to steer themselves out of these uncharted waters by introducing innovative ways of teaching and learning which included but were not limited to online learning platforms.

However, at The Two Oceans Graduate Institute being an online institution equipped with a fully-fledged online learner management system our students excelled under the lockdown restrictions and therefore was able to complete their studies according to schedule. Thus a presentation detailing the entire online process from application to graduation will be discussed during the 45min presentation in an attempt to highlight through discussion ways in which other institutions can incorporate these methodologies into their administrative practices to ensure effective and efficient student administration
