Carol Crosley is the Registrar of Wits University – a position she had held for 8 years. She is a Witsie for life having been at the institution for close on 26 years now, holding various positions and working her way through the years: Marketing Coordinator, Assistant Registrar at the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management.; Deputy Registrar – Student Enrolment, and now, Registrar.

She plays an active role in the South African Higher Education sector – serving on the USAF Admissions Committee and the Steering Committee of CAS (Central Applications system). She believes in community of practice ideals in the sharing of information and best practices in the sector. She is serious in her commitment to operational excellence and believes that Professional and Administrative staff in universities play a significant role in a student’s experience at university.

Carol started her teaching career in 1984 ; moved to the corporate sector for 5 years as Public Relations Manager for Johnson and Johnson and returned to teaching for another 5 years.

She is a multiple Wits Graduate with a BA Honors ; H Dip Ed and Masters in Education.
