CEO of Feenix. This Public Benefit Organisation is an online fundraising platform that connects communities; providing a tool for students to formalize their fundraising efforts and a channel for funders to find students they wish to support.

I personally faced many challenges during my university years. Access to resources was limited and I realised the importance of a good support system. I am grateful for the support that extended beyond my family and provided me with the opportunities I needed to thrive. For that very reason, I’ve made it my mission to pay it forward. This runs deeper than providing opportunities for students, it is a personal underlying value system that ignites my passion for the betterment of students, their education, and their mental well-being. Creating an environment for students to thrive in is a top priority for myself and Feenix.

My passion for youth advancement and creating innovative ways to connect students to resources that enable a thriving environment and a long-lasting social impact on their future and a legacy that we can be proud of.

After joining Feenix in 2018, I’ve built strong relationships with 26 public universities in South Africa, launched the national online Feenix Student Ambassador Programme with over 35 students representing their universities, and to date we have successfully connected over 3000 tertiary students to donors.

With more than 8 years of experience in the Youth Advancement industry, I firmly believe that access to education is a fundamental tool that no one should be deprived of.

Notable organisations I’ve worked with include: the UWC HIV & AIDS Programme, Global Early Adolescent Study in partnership with the World Health Organisation, and City Wide Youth Development programme run by the Social Development and Early Childhood Development Department, City of Cape Town.
