Bruce Banda is the Director of Student Academic Administration at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and a member of the Board of Trustees for the university’s Medical Aid Scheme. In addition to these roles, he serves on the Board of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) and the Board of Directors of the Central Applications Office (CAO). He is also a Trustee of the Financial Services Consumer Education Foundation, a foundation established by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) to advance financial education. The Foundation aims to raise awareness about financial literacy, and to equip the public with essential tools and knowledge for financial decision-making.

Bruce is a seasoned higher education administrator with over 20 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles at institutions including the University of South Africa (UNISA), Stellenbosch University, and UKZN.

He Holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is passionate about student academic administration.
